About the Position

For our Offshore R&D Nacelle and Hub Department in a Next Generation Turbine Project within the Technology Section, we are looking for a Specialist for the Yaw System. The department has the responsibility to develop and design Nacelle and Hub modules, from concept to tested and verified products, ready for handover to serial production.

In this role you will be part of a dynamic and international R&D environment where we work with the latest and most advanced technologies within wind power, contributing to future green energy solutions.

What are my responsibilities?

  • Design and development of the yaw system for a next generation turbine
  • Integration of the yaw system with the nacelle, tower, electrical, hydraulics and controls teams
  • Cooperation and exchange with Yaw System Specialists across platforms
  • Performing strength and life assessments (both numerical and analytical) for all components of the yaw system
  • Optimization of yaw system
  • Documentation of yaw system for certification

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • You hold a M.Sc. or equivalent degree in mechanical engineering, preferably with a specialization in gear systems, and bring at least 2 years of relevant experience
  • You know how to design and analyze gear systems
  • You have a sense of responsibility for a system at the heart of the turbine
  • You have a thorough and structured approach to your work and are able to find innovative solutions for problems
  • You are able to work independently, but as part of a wider team and are able to develop and defend an own position
  • You strive in a cross-functional, international setting and understand team dynamics
