Can you perform and drive a broad range of Corporate Finance tasks and projects in addition to assisting with TORM’s Investor Relations (IR) activities?

Join us as our new Corporate Finance Assistant, where you get a unique opportunity to work with key strategic and financial themes and impact the strategic direction of TORM within the shipping industry.  

The Job    

The Corporate Finance & Strategy team is currently consisting of four people, and are responsible for selected larger strategic, financial and capital market projects. The team is part of TORM’s Finance division. We provide high quality strategic and financial advice to TORM’s Board of Directors and Management team to secure ongoing focus on TORM’s strategic position as well as financial effects of commercial decisions.   The team has recently gained responsibility for selected IR activities, including the development of the quarterly and annual reports, investor material and analyst dialogue.   

Your specific responsibilities will depend on your qualifications, but is expected to include:   

• Support of long-term financial modeling, including:   
  • Monthly report deliverables 
  • Business plan development 
• Investor Relations support, including:   
  • Annual and quarterly reports  
  • Investor and roadshow material  
• Participation in larger strategic and financial projects that could include:  
  • Merger & Acquisition activities  
  • Capital market transactions 
• Ad hoc support to Management   

 Most of the work will be project related and overtime may be expected during peak periods. Through the position, you will gain significant insight into TORM’s financial and strategic situation, which on a longer horizon could be used as a step towards another position within TORM.   

Profile   

The role is a great learning opportunity for a recent graduate with zero to two years of experience, who has a relevant theoretical background, such as M.Sc. in Business Administration or in Economics. We are looking for an ambitious and passionate person, who has a strong personal drive and thrives in a dynamic and challenging work environment. You are able to present analyses and solutions to complex problems in a short and precise manner which reflects your strong analytical and communication skills. You will be working in Excel and PowerPoint on a daily basis, so it is important that you are comfortable with these tools and can work independently.

• High level Excel modelling and PowerPoint skills 
• Strong focus on quality, delivering results and meeting customer expectations  
• Impeccable English skills and ability to develop verbal and written communication (crisp, confident, clear and succinct) with personnel at all levels
• Adaptable to and embraces change; works well with ambiguity 
• A willingness to take responsibility and lead outcomes; ability to work autonomously but also works effectively within a team and is a positive contributor to the team.
