The team

You will become part of an autonomous team of four highly skilled cross-functional colleagues who support BESTSELLER's IT organisation with their expert knowledge of integration solutions covering APIs/Web Services and messaging platforms. The team is responsible for defining the standards of APIs and messaging solutions and ensure that the product teams are trained and guided to use the right technologies for integrating data.

The job

Your primary focus will be to develop platforms that other teams will use, and train and support product teams across the entire IT organization to follow the guidelines your team defines.

You work closely together with your team members to build up your expertise within integrations such as REST APIs and ESB. Together, you define and set the direction for the entire IT landscape in BESTSELLER.

More specifically, your tasks include:

• Developing templates, reusable components and defining standards that will be used by the product teams to connect their solutions to data and other services
• Conducting workshops with colleagues across the IT department training them in integration methods and tools
• Supporting and guiding product teams in their development of APIs/Web Services and ESB integrations
• Contributing and, in time, independently driving the development of more complex integrations
• Exploring new technologies and working on prototypes and Proof of Concept solutions within the area of connecting data and services.

Your profile

You will be training and supporting colleagues across a large organisation, so it is important that you can easily establish new relationships and thrive in a position with a broad surface of contact. You have excellent communication skills and the professional confidence to establish trust and motivate the people around you to follow your guidelines and best-practice instructions.

As a person, you have a strong desire to learn and understand new technologies. Being part of a small, agile team, it comes natural to you to share your knowledge and to inspire and support your colleagues. You contribute constructively to team discussions, and with your curious and analytic mindset, you enjoy investigating new possible paths for integrating systems and data.

Qualifications

• Graduated from a programming-oriented educational programme, e.g. information technologist (the Danish datamatiker)
• You have programming experience and are familiar with languages such as Java and .Net
• You demonstrate a passion for developing existing systems as well as bringing in new technologies
• You like to explore new technologies and are not afraid of leading the way by explaining and training your colleagues in these
• You are fluent in written and spoken English - any knowledge of Danish is considered an additional plus
• You don't need to know about SCRUM - we will get you there, when you join us on our agile journey.
