We're looking for engineers to join our Infrastructure team. Being part of our team, you will join a small, but growing, and highly skilled team, where the bar is set high to maintain and enhance our systems. Your input and ideas will be transformed into our dynamic service infrastructure. 

Our environment is fun, fast-paced, ambitious, agile, and informal. We're inspired by "The SRE Way" and as such we are focused on the reliability and quality of the infrastructure services that we build. This means that we design for NSPOF, scalability, observability, and accountability. We build and operate Kubernetes clusters on-prem and in AWS, we set up secret management, proxies, caches, queues, databases, and we write tools to automate all the things so that we do not have to operate systems that can operate themselves leaving more time for hacking.

We probably “had you at hello”, but let’s also include the usual organizational context jazz for good measure: The Infrastructure team is part of the Core Unit in the Development Department. We provide fundamental infrastructure and services to other teams in the department. We do so in collaboration with the other teams in the Core Unit, which focus on delivering cross-cutting services and frameworks to the Product Development units, which in turn deliver awesome product features to Siteimprove’s customers at the speed of light. 

Siteimprove’s product is a web-based platform providing a wide range of tools to manage digital presence and perform web governance. Our raison d’être is to provide reliable, scalable, and efficient infrastructure and services that enable the entire department to build and deliver high-quality services and solutions for our customers worldwide.

Here’s what you’ll do and what you’ll need to do it.

Responsibilities

• Build and operate modern infrastructure such as Kubernetes clusters on-premises and in the AWS public cloud.
• Maintain and evolve Siteimprove’s resources and services in AWS as well as guide product feature teams on best practices in AWS.
• Build and operate infrastructure services and assist product feature development units when they adopt them.
• Build and maintain CI/CD solutions.
• Build tools.
• Champion SRE and DevOps principles in the organization and help shape the future of the company.

What We Require of You

• You’re bright.
• 5+ years of relevant experience (as an SRE, DevOps, software engineer, or Linux sysadmin).
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Experience with AWS. Certifications are a plus.
• You’re a competent coder.
• A good grasp of distributed systems, networking, internet protocols, TCP, and storage technologies.
• Experience with web technologies.
• Passion for containers, microservices, open-source software, and automation.
• Be fluent in spoken and written English.
