Would you like to help deliver packaging that is as exciting as its contents? Joining our global R&D organisation at manager or senior engineer level, you will work with colleagues in engineering and production to balance cost with complexity and market requirements with manufacturing capabilities.

Take packaging from the drawing board to shop shelves

At our HQ in Billund, you will join 12 colleagues in the R&D Novelty & Materials team. Together, you deliver packaging solutions for all core line LEGO® products, ensuring that all products are designed for manufacturing with a focus on balancing cost and quality and ensuring standardisation. In a nutshell, you ensure that time plans for all packaging deliveries from Print & Pack (P&P) are feasible and in place, and that all core line special packaging is matured for production.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Planning and execution of the novelty development processes on standard packaging as well as global tests and NPI for new special packaging

• Planning of deliveries from P&P towards the product development department (PMD)

• Acting as the first port of call and primary communication channel for P&P

• Seamless introduction of new standard and non-standard packaging to the LEGO portfolio

• Communication of status and progress of activities within the area

You may have up to 30 days of travel per year in connection with new product introduction at our factories in Hungary, the Czech Republic, Mexico and China.

You will join an international team of packaging specialists who agree that quality comes first. We know that eye-popping packaging takes out-of-the-box thinking, and we work hard to realise imaginative ideas through feasible manufacturing plans. To do so, we continuously learn new tricks of the trade, and we take pride in exploring new ideas and opportunities.

You know packaging and have a flair for driving projects forward

We are looking for a colleague with a knack for structure and a nose for good processes. You have strong cross-cultural collaboration skills, and you communicate effortlessly with engineers and marketers alike. In short, you are a natural born project coordinator.

Moreover, we imagine that:

• You have some experience with packaging materials and processes and product introduction processes - whether it is 2 or 10 years is less important as you can join us at manager or senior engineer level

• You have a good grasp of Lean thinking

• You speak and write good English - Danish is a plus, but not a requirement

• Ideally, you have project management skills and knowledge of procurement
