Job Description
Do you have a strong interest in PCBA Design for Manufacturing? Can you coordinate the ‘New Product Introduction’ activities around PCBA? Now you have a unique opportunity to make an impact on the continuous success of Danfoss. You will join the Danfoss Drives Division in Gråsten and become part of the global technology center within supply chain. A team consisting of 7 colleagues in DK, supporting Operations and R&D globally.
Danfoss Drives is world leader in developing, manufacturing and sale of motor controllers - VLT ® frequency converters – for applications such as pumps, conveyors and cranes. In this position you will report to the Director of Global Board Assembly Technology.
Introduce new PCBA designs in cooperation with R&D
As our new PCBA Manufacturing Engineering Specialist, your role is to support R&D globally in the new product introduction, ensuring PCBA design for manufacturing – proactively optimizing quality and cost. Based on your PCBA manufacturing expertise and our design guidelines, you will ensure and coordinate the activities needed to enable manufacturability – in either our own PCBA operations facilities in Gråsten or at one of our electronics manufacturing service partners globally. Furthermore, you will have the possibility to involve yourself in the continuous development of PCBA technology, and related design guidelines. The continuously aim for world class manufacturing demands a strong focus and interest in digitalization and ‘Smart Manufacturing’ - the journey towards Industry 4.0. In this role your key tasks and success criteria’s will be:
- Participate in PCBA designs reviews and ensure DFM.
- Manage prototyping activities according to project plans and milestones.
- Prepare and collect all documentation needed for new PCBA variants.
- Prepare production documentation and setup related IT systems – operation routings, bill of materials etc.
- Secure optimal PCBA manufacturing flow and logistics.
- Follow market trends on PCBA technology and support technology projects.
- Ensure that standards and quality systems as IATF-16949 are followed.
- Support the Digitalization Journey within PCBA Manufacturing.
Experienced Electronics Engineer with competencies in PCBA manufacturing
You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. You have relevant competencies in PCBA design and knowledge regarding relevant IPC standards.
Experience with the processes related to PCBA manufacturing is a necessity. Relevant R&D experience with PCBA products, would also be valuable competences in the job. We expect that you are experienced in the use of, and cooperation with, Electronics Manufacturing Service partners globally, and that you have experience with the workflow related to the introduction of new PCBA products. Furthermore, you have solid experience with TS/IATF 16949 and the Six Sigma approach.
On a personal note, you are known as a team player with a good communicative approach and the ability to influence. You are curious and proactive, which you use to acquire new knowledge, find alternative solutions and adapt to new workflows, which permits you to come up with the right solutions. Equally you have an analytical mindset, which enables you to find the best solutions and present complex information. This is to ensure alignment within a matrix organization, across different cultures and facilities. You master English both written and spoken.
