Zealand Pharma A/S (Zealand) aims to become a fully integrated biotechnology company leading in delivery of specialty medicines. Zealand is seeking a technician with experience in synthesizing, purifying and characterizing peptides to join the Department of Medicinal Chemistry. The department is responsible for all peptide design and synthesis to support the R&D pipeline. The department currently consists of five scientists, four laboratory technicians and one lab assistant.

The position is a permanent fulltime position and we hope to have a new colleague as soon as possible. The application can be written in either Danish or English.

Job Profile

The successful candidate will be:

• Synthesizing, purifying and characterizing peptides for the R&D projects
• Optimizing synthesis and troubleshooting when needed
• General peptide handling and distribution to our colleagues in the other departments
• Working closely with the other technicians and academics in the team
• Ensuring timely delivery of requested peptides at the desired quality
• Documenting in databases and laboratory notebooks according to Zealand standards.

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will be:

• Trained as a laboratory technician
• Have experience with synthesis, HPLC purification, and characterization of peptides
• Have a high level of self-motivation, and the ability to work as a team player
• Have a positive attitude, a sense of humor and willingness to take on new challenges.
