Senior Director, Immunoassay Marketing

The immunoassay business is one of the biggest growth contributors at Radiometer. The AQT90 FLEX is our immunoassay instrument and represents a business that has continuously grown 20+% during the past several years, but we need you to drive the success from a marketing perspective. You should apply for this role if you have:

• Deep understanding of the diagnostics industry, the market and the key immunoassay players in lab and Point of Care (POC)
• Understanding of how biomarker testing is integrated in patient management in Emergency and Intensive Care. Especially which are the key biomarkers in acute cardiac diseases and critical infections, which information they provide and under which guidelines and practice conventions they are used
• Knowledge on key performance metrics of immunoassay, why technical performance may become relevant for clinical decisions, how the assay design can impact performance and how to turn it in selling points
• Ability to identify the key drivers for POC placements (vs. sending samples to the lab) in different settings
• Understand how market drivers, competitive landscape, market access, reimbursement/funding, value chain in buying decisions, etc. vary across different regions and healthcare systems

 Travelling is required up to 20 % of your time. 

Scope of the role

The Senior Director, Immunoassay (IA) Marketing, reports directly to the VP of Marketing and leads a team of 7 reports (2 first line, 5 second line). In the role you are part of the Marketing management team as well as the IA Business Unit (BU). As part of the IA BU management, this position has a dotted reporting line to the VP of the IA BU. As part of these two management teams, you contribute to the prioritization of projects and allocation of resources in these two functional areas. You will manage the budget allocated for the IA Marketing team including cost of employees, consultancy and promotional activities. The position is located at Radiometer Medical’s headquarters in Brønshøj close to Copenhagen City center and is a rare development opportunity for the right candidate to grow into even more responsibility in Radiometer or Danaher.

Big impact and network

You will be part of the Global Marketing team and will manage a team organized around two streams: New Product Development (NPD) and Commercial Product Management (CPM). The NPD tasks include providing input to the pipeline definition and representing marketing in the R&D projects by assigning team members to the project core teams. The CPM tasks include internal product management, development of promotional content and lead generation campaigns and collaboration in go-to-market decisions for the existing AQT portfolio. Additionally, you are a key contact representing the IA business in front of both subsidiaries and distributors. You will be exposed to customers and external experts in the product application area. You can also look forward to collaborating with internal stakeholders across Global Marketing (teams managing other Product Groups, Marketing Communications and Digital Marketing, Market Intelligence, Pricing) and across functions, including Sales, R&D, Finance, Production, Clinical and Medical Affairs, Global Supply Chain, RA, QA, Legal, Technical Documentation and Services.  You are a key support to senior management (VP team) in strategy development, policy deployment and following up on key performance indicators, daily management, continuous improvement, problem solving and application of countermeasures.
