You will be part of the centralised project management organisation in Vestas Power Solutions with about 100 professional project managers. The projects are in PTR (Power Train) development and manufacturing and you will be leading end-to-end projects from the early stages until the PTR runs smoothly in production. Your responsibilities will be to lead teams across Vestas Power Solutions, Global procurement, NPI and PTR manufacturing. You will have direct project reports, but also lead through sub project managers and team leads from the organisation. The projects have a significant business impact and you will balance a large project budget, and you must be proficient in risk management to ensure business critical decisions are fact based.

The Senior Project Management function in Vestas Power Solutions is setting the standard for project management, and as Senior Project Manager you will have a large and direct impact on Vestas performance and the output from Vestas Power Solutions.

Responsibilities
The key responsibilities include:

• Organise, budget, plan and execute large PTR projects, end-to-end
• Setup an effective organisation of your projects including a strong governance
• Interface and communicate with a large range of stakeholders in the entire value chain
• Supervise other project managers and leads/coordinators in your projects
• Ensure delivery within time, quality and cost targets
• Contribute to development of project maturity

Qualifications

• Hold an Engineering degree or other relevant educational background and at least 10 years of experience working with product development and/or manufacturing in series production
• Have documented experience in working with integrated projects in a matrix organisation with multi-disciplinary teams
• Experience as Project Manager leading through sub projects or sub teams
• At least 8 years documented Project Management experience
• Experience of PTR (Power Train) development would be a strong advantage
• Stakeholder management and risk management at a highly professional level
• Strong business understanding and how critical project decisions impacts Vestas business goals

Competencies
As a person, you are a strong communicator targeting the audience in the organisation and you have strong leadership skills. Further, we expect that you:

• Are organised and disciplined in executing projects
• Are a pro-active and outgoing team player
• Are willing to travel occasionally outside of Denmark (depending on specific project requirements)
• Have experience in engineering for series production
• Have experience of managing global multi-cultural teams
• Are experienced in Gate Model project delivery
• Are proficient in English
• Ideally have achieved recognised Project Management accreditation (preferably Prince2, PMI or IPMA)

Additional information
Primary work location is Aarhus DK but you are expected to travel to Vestas sites when needed.
