About the department
You will be a part of the device manufacturing and sourcing (DMS) Supply Chain department which is responsible for the supplier management, planning, purchasing and warehousing of plastic components that go into most devices in the Novo Nordisk product portfolio. You will join a Planning team of 7 dedicated colleagues, focused on enabling a stable supply and high performance in the supply chain. We coordinate the supply to our customers within Novo Nordisk on a global scale and we focus on proactive communication with our stakeholders to secure the best possible cooperation across functions.

The position

Your focus will be coordinating, planning and purchasing of device components. As we purchase and dispatch extreme amounts of components on a global scale you will be involved in highly complex supply chain processes. On a daily basis, you will make decisions on both the quantity and the destination of the goods, and as such you will have significant influence on the supply chain. 

More specifically, you will follow-up closely with our suppliers to ensure that they prioritise the production of device components and that the right quality and quantity are delivered in due time. You will establish a close cooperation with our customers within Novo Nordisk and in this way gather the right production forecasts for your daily work. 

You will be planning and executing orders in our SAP ERP system.

In case of deviations you are responsible for reporting to the relevant customers.  You must prepare and drive analyses and business cases, and you will initiate and drive structured problem solving by using lean tools (e.g. A3). Further you can expect to participate in and support supply chain projects and lean initiatives in your area of responsibility. Additionally, you will contribute to constant improvements in purchasing to work smarter and secure the best possible results for Novo Nordisk. 

As most of our customers and suppliers are placed outside Denmark, you can expect up to approximately 15 travel days per year.

Qualifications.

You hold a Bachelor or a Master of Science in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or similar and have worked with Supply Chain Management or purchasing for at least 2-3 years – preferably in an international environment. This combination has given you the ability to give recommendations for improvement and optimisation of the way we manage our supply chain. 

You will need very good communication skills and a positive mind-set in order to interact with both external suppliers and customers within Novo Nordisk. You take pride in consistently delivering high quality work, on time and in a pro-active way. 

On top of that, you are able to prioritise your assignments in an ever-changing and dynamic environment, where you constantly estimate the consequences and risks in the decisions you make. You have a structured way of working with data and your analytical skills enable you to focus on the aspects of relevance and see through the complexity within planning. Our ERP-system is SAP ECC and SAP APO so experience with purchase planning in SAP combined with Excel knowledge would be an advantage. 

You have strong proficiency in English - both in writing and in speech.
