About the position
Siemens Gamesa is looking for a Wind Farm Control and Grid Test Engineer to join our Onshore Engineering department based in our office in Brande, Denmark.

You will be a part of the SCADA department which is a crucial part of NE&ME Onshore Engineering.
NE&ME Onshore Engineering SCADA department consists of 4 teams and our grid test engineers are located in the Solution Engineering team.

In this position, you can expect travel activities up to 20-30 days a year. This will be split between onsite activities, client meetings and/or internal meetings taking place in one of our office locations in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

About the role
As a Wind Farm control and Grid Test Engineer, you will be responsible for specific grid integration-, grid test- and wind farm control related engineering tasks and you will be conducting Grid Code analysis as well as be responsible for the development/maintenance of Grid requirements test applications.

You will be a main technical interface and expertise in relation to grid connection of onshore projects during the sales and project execution and you will support the Park Control project including configuration, operation and test. You will also be responsible for the Grid Code Compliance field tests on onshore projects, including planning and reporting.

An important part of this role will be interfacing between markets and R&D/CTO, e.g. defining requirement specifications for Grid Code Compliance related development as well as being the main interface to Grid Operators and clients specialists

In this role you will also define the control philosophy and control system design for onshore Wind Power Plants and be responsible for the Power Quality Measurement Campaign and reporting.

About you
You are a self-driven and dedicated team player, analytical and able to create and maintain an overview of complex tasks. At the same time you are good at networking,and you possess excellent communication skills in English. You are motivated by working in a strong technical and customer oriented environment.

To be successful in this role you preferable:

• have a strong technical background and as minimum a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar
• have experience from the wind power industry, grid developer/grid operator and/or SCADA/automation industries

In case you have acquired your skills in alternative ways your application is just as well appreciated.
