Here is a great opportunity to join Ramboll and take on a position where you will participate in further development of architectural competencies and services within Life Science & Pharma and Industrial Facility Design.

Your role and responsibility as an Architect or Constructing Architect in Facility Design & Process Architecture
As an architect working in Facility Design & Process Architecture you will typically take the position as Lead Architect or Specialist within Laboratory design, Cleanroom and Containment design or as Process Architect within Industrial Facility design.

Our services are focused on client needs and based on specialised knowledge of regulatory requirements and technological trends and development within Facility Design to Life Science Industries, the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnological market.

Depending on your key competencies and preferred area of specialities you could as an example have the following project related roles and responsibilities:

• Process Architect holding the architectural lead position during especially the initial project phases covering: Programming, Conceptual and Basic Design - being responsible for conceptual design studies and design development including e.g. flow analysis, functional layout dispositions, volume studies and overall building design 
• Cleanroom & Containment Architect holding the position as Architect in Command throughout all project phases responsible for the architectural design deliveries and interdisciplinary coordination with all involved stakeholders covering co-creation and user involvement processes
• Laboratory Architect holding the position as Architect in Command throughout all project phases responsible for the architectural design deliveries and interdisciplinary coordination with all involved stakeholders covering co-creation and user involvement processes
• Specialised Designer and/or Revit Coordinator within complex industrial facilities, cleanrooms and laboratories covering integrated design development and interdisciplinary coordination using 3D Revit as design tool from Basic Design to Detailed Design, specialised supervision and follow up during construction
   

You and your competencies
You are educated as an architect, constructing architect or similar - preferably with some years of experience working with Industrial Facility programming, planning and design e.g. to the Pharmaceutical and/or Biotechnological Industry or within the sectors of Life Science and Healthcare, Hospitals and Universities. This is however not a prerequisite.

You have a strong client focus and interest in understanding the objectives and needs of the customer and you are familiar with translating User Requirements together with other relevant requirements and regulations into general and specialized functionalities, area needs, optimized process and work flows, good work environments and finally functional and aesthetic layout and design solutions.

You enjoy being part of an exciting and dynamic work place and flourish through collaboration and interaction with colleagues of all disciplines, customers and relevant stakeholders.   

Professional competencies and personal areas of interest could be the following:

• Master planning and overall conceptual design development for production sites and complex industrial facilities
• Design of cleanrooms including GMP, room classification planning and work flow analysis  
• Design of laboratories including GLP and GMO knowledge, programming of advanced laboratory facilities 
• Design of containment facilities including GAP analysis and risk assessment connected to Bio- and/or Chemical safety and security  
• Detailed Design development, Supervision and follow up activities during construction
• General programming and predesign activities including facilitation of user involvement processes   
• Specialized client consultancy e.g. Human Factor Design and Sustainable Design Consultancy  

Join Facility Design & Process Architecture
You will be joining a small dedicated team consisting of highly professional and fully engaged architects and constructing architects.

Facility Design & Process Architecture is one out of five departments providing specialised consultancy and integrated design solutions to Life Science, Pharmaceutical and Biotechnical Industries. The other four departments are: Process Engineering, Laboratories & Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, BMS & ATEX and Structural Engineering & ICT.

As architects we work close together with the other departments of the Business Unit: Industry and Client Consultancy and our project involvements includes both national and international clients.
