Our growth continues through a strong pipeline in 2018-19 and we are looking for a Backup Architect to join our Infrastructure Services team in Copenhagen (Soeborg)   

Your responsibilities as Backup Architect  

You will be responsible for all backup services delivered to NNIT’s customers. Your job will be to create and design the right Backup services that match the needs and expectations from our customers.   You will take part in client meetings and it is your responsibility to understand and interpret the customer’s commercial needs on your own or in cooperation with the NNIT organization, offering stable solutions that meet the expected quality.   It is expected that you, at all times, demonstrate NNIT’s values and successfully communicate NNIT’s views in deliveries, presentations, articles, and communities.   The position requires good knowledge and expertise within business, infrastructure, security, compliance, and requires good knowledge of IT technologies in general and within your area in particular.   You will play a cross-organizational role where you act as a link between clients, pre-sales, our delivery organization and external business partners.   

Your primary responsibilities will be:  

• Challenge and transform business requirements into Backup Solutions that support client and/or NNIT’s technology standards and roadmaps  
• Inspire customer business with background in NNIT services  
• Ensure all required architectural as well as business decisions are made, documented and implemented in a timely manner  
• Support the delivery and sales units in sales and presales activities  
• Create strategic alignment of own service area together with the Service Tower Owner, Enterprise Architecture and other Service Architects  
• Develop, maintain and communicate short-term and long-term (1-3 years) Service and Technology Roadmap  
• Challenge and continuously improve own services  
• Advise and recommend to EA Board on new technologies, services and methods which can improve the business and IT operation of the service or reduce cost of IT operation  
• Secure adjustment of service to stay market conform  
• Design new releases of service and initiate the necessary service qualification activities in Global Projects/Global Delivery Management  
• Create Business Case for new security services and continuously follow up on ABC cost and P/L  
• Presales and bid support including input to service pricing  

 Join the Infrastructure Services in the Global Services & Architecture Division  

We are part of IT Operations Services (ITOS) responsible for everything from infrastructure and applications to complete orchestration and support of our customers’ IT solutions. Our work processes are based on best practice and our procedures follow ITIL standards (IT Infrastructure Library).  We work as a one team, practice and appreciate can-do attitude, collaboration and knowledge sharing. We also believe that you should always be able to develop both professionally and personally whether this is by interesting and challenging work, training or certifications.   

Your qualifications  

You have minimum 5 years of experience with administering Enterprise Backup environments and have in-depth knowledge of NetBackup, CommVault, TSM, Backup Exec and EMC Networker (at least one product).  

• Should have in-depth knowledge of the backup architectures and hardware currently available in the market place (Data Domain, HPE StoreOnce etc.)  
• Should have in-depth knowledge of infrastructure concepts (Software defined , deduplication, compression, RAID, NFS, iSCSI, fiber channel)  
• Experience in DR (Disaster Recovery) and COOP (Continuity of Operations Planning)  
• Experience with Environment assessment  
• Experience with Backup installation  
• Experience with Backup tuning and optimization  
• Knowledge of Operational best practices for the backup industry  
• Experience implementing backup devices in a virtual infrastructure (VMware, Citrix, and Hyper-V)  
• Preferred Backup platforms are NetBackup, CommVault  

You have an understanding of the ITIL framework and are used to working with Incident, Problem and Change Management processes.   

You communicate well in English; both oral and written (English is our corporate language)
