Are you an experienced Blade Continuous Improvement Management (CIM) Engineer looking for a new and exciting opportunity to make your role your own? Are you already a Lead Engineer or ready to take the next step up in your career?


Here at Vestas, we are expanding rapidly and now have a need to create a new Blade CIM Team to cope with demand.


Turbine Solutions > Blades > Blades Feasibility, Ope. Support & TCM
The new Blade CIM Team will be part of the Blade Operational Support department which is responsible for ensuring seamless execution of the blade design intent in factories and service with an aim to minimise total full life cost of ownership of our blade module.


The Blade CIM Team will specifically focus on ensuring identified blade CIM issues are rapidly understood, contained, mitigated and prevented in the future.


Responsibilities

  • As Lead Engineer, you will be part of a team that will participate in a wide selection of allocated CIM issues and contribute to the reduction in blade related CIM costs
  • Work closely with blade engineering personnel to identify blade CIM issues
  • Use root cause analysis to understand, contain and prevent future problems and design faults
  • Rectify or repair problems within the design phase
  • Work closely with factory and field teams to modify or redesign blades
  • Ensure design timelines are not impacted
  • Analyse and assess cause and effect of mechanical issues

Qualifications

  • Degree in relevant engineering discipline, ideally mechanical
  • Design for Six Sigma - Green belt or higher
