In our Plant Health division we have the products to change global farming via use of our natural, biological alternatives and/or supplements to conventional pesticides. We need you to make our already super strong commercial team even stronger. Major impact and equal development opportunities are guaranteed in the position. 
 

Commercial Development responsibility with global reach
As our business grows, we need a passionate Commercial Developer to support the business and turn a huge market potential into new business. You will do so by identifying and prioritizing opportunities, negotiating new business deals and supporting the existing products and partners. You will also hold business unit responsibilities such as S&OP and be part of the budgeting and P&L statements. Further, you have end-to-end commercial responsibility for negotiating demand with customers, processing orders for selected projects and making sure the products are delivered. Chr. Hansen’s direct customers are distributors of agricultural products and the end-users are farmers. You will be working very close with the Plant Health management team. 

Your main tasks will include: 

• Define and co-lead support requirements to current partners, including marketing and product specific information
• Investigate and identify business opportunities 
• Co-create and implement the commercial development strategy 
• Prioritize commercial projects based on sound business modeling
• Project lead new commercial initiatives from idea to commercialization – internally and with partners/customers
• Hold the responsibility for alignment between production/supply and the Plant Health business
• Become a strong partner to the Plant Health management team
• Deliver input to global functions such as sustainability and manufacturing capacity planning 

 

You will work closely together with your Commercial Development colleagues across the globe in order to share knowledge, solve problems etc. You can look forward to travel approx. 20-30 days per year to meet customers, colleagues, partners and to attend to relevant conferences. 

 

Commercial experience 
You have a university degree within either natural science (e.g. microbiology) or Business Administration and 2-5 years of experience. Regardless of your background you must bring commercial experience and ideally you know something about microbiology or the agricultural industry.  

Your previous career has taught you to analyze data and turn the information into tangible recommendations. As part of this you can prioritize in order to create value from your chosen actions – aligned with the overall strategy. Your role has many different stakeholders and tasks and you will need all of your drive for results and your can-do attitude. Related to this you must thrive on working on your own while knowing that you always have the team for support.
