Tasks & responsibilities: You will...

...support the Construction and Service departments with proactive and ongoing advice and recommendations in relation to commercial and contractual issues affecting the delivery of projects to meet the required safety, quality, time and budget standards.

Your tasks will include:

• Contract administration
• Identification and management of key deliverables
• Facilitate the contract-related correspondences required in respect of notices, payments etc.
• Scope management/change control
• Risk and opportunity support
• Claims handling

Skills & experience: Our new colleague...

...has experience from the construction and/or engineering industries and preferably also quantity surveying at a senior QS level. We are looking for a candidate with substantial commercial and contractual knowledge and claims management experience. You are an independent self-starter who pays high attention to detail and can work under pressure meeting tight deadlines. You have an accurate and rigid approach to applying contractual mechanisms and procedures, and you have an analytical approach to problem-solving.

We expect that you:

• Have experience with contract administration and project risk management
• Are supportive in coaching other project team members in understanding contractual requirements and obligations
• Hold a relevant university degree and/or relevant professional institute qualifications
• Are a team player
• Have strong negotiation skills
• Are an experienced user of Microsoft Office programs
• Have a genuine interest in construction/contract law.
