This role as Corporate Investigator is an exciting position for the candidate who appreciates a global workplace and exciting tasks. Working with our team, you will obtain an exceptional insight into the global business operations and principles of the Novo Nordisk Group as well as build a broad network in the organisation.

 

About the department
The Audit Committee Secretariat is responsible for the management of the Compliance Hotline, Novo Nordisk’s global whistle-blower function, and the team conducts and coordinates all investigations initiated around the world. Moreover, we support the Audit Committee (Board of Directors sub-committee) by managing the process around their meetings, driving key projects and ensuring implementation of actions.

We are part of Group Internal Audit, an area with 26 colleagues from around the world who are responsible for providing assurance to senior management and the Audit Committee on compliance with IT, finance and business ethics requirements. Our team consists of a variety of backgrounds, working in a dynamic, ambitious and informal environment.

The job
We offer an exciting and challenging job that will provide you with an inside perspective to Novo Nordisk’s business processes and give you a broad network throughout the organisation. 

You will be responsible for overseeing a portion of the whistle-blower cases from initial severity assessment through all aspects of the process until closing of the investigation and reporting to the Audit Committee. You will be lead investigator on a number of internal investigations, mainly within the area of fraud and business ethics (compliance) violations. On an ongoing basis, you will be in close contact with global colleagues to ensure high quality investigation and follow-up on reported concerns. 

You will be involved in cross-disciplinary projects where you have the opportunity to take an active role in the performance and completion of a variety of assurance tasks, including planning, performing and completing internal projects, including further development of the investigation team. 

Occasional business travels are a part of the job, sometimes with short notice.


Qualifications
You have an educational background as a M.Sc. within accounting, auditing, law or similar. You have a minimum of five years’ experience working with investigations, auditing or compliance - preferably within the pharma industry, a recognised law firm or a Big Four audit firm. You need to be proficient in written and spoken English. 

As a person, you are ethical with a high level of integrity and are able to maintain confidentiality in all circumstances. You are motivated by working as part of a team and have strong analytical skills combined with a pro-active mind-set. Moreover, you are curious by nature and leave no stone unturned when conducting internal investigations. Other key personal qualifications include a high level of energy, good sense of humour and the ability to stay focused while working under pressure.
