We are looking for an analytical and curious new team member with an interest in the transformative journey that credit risk management is going through - towards more portfolio management and automation, more analytics and data science. Your future responsibilities 

You’ll join Credit Risk Portfolio Management, Group Credit Risk Management, where we sit close to the Bank's decision makers and work in an environment of frequent iterations with colleagues and senior stakeholders to develop conclusions and recommendations across core credit risk management areas - risk measurement and key performance indicators, risk appetite frameworks, portfolio reviews and strategy development, credit loss management. 

What you’ll be doing: 

As a Data Scientist you will be a core team member with responsibilities to organise and manage our data for use in a credit risk reporting layer.

Key tasks include: 

• Managing a database for the reporting layer, including data extraction, structuring and blending from multiple sources  
• Development activities including automation of data sourcing and flows 
• Development of the units data strategy, including setting requirements for the bank’s development of strategic data capabilities towards credit risk management 
• Synchronise ways of working and data use with other stakeholders

Your profile and background:  

We want to create a diverse team with a mix of qualifications. Hence, there can be many relevant backgrounds for this type of position. Please consider how your strengths can match the range of qualifications that are relevant for the team - and make sure you bring a curious mindset and keep collaborative spirit.  

• You have an academic degree or equivalent in Data Sciences, Engineering, Finance, or similar 
• You are highly motivated with a strong ambition to drive change and development in a business-oriented and result-driven environment 
• You are anchored in curiosity and analytics, and we expect you to bring high integrity and a fact-based approach as you will be working in a hands-on strategic banking role 
• You have strong skills and experience in database management, for example having worked 2-5 years with similar challenges 
• You have excellent capabilities in coding/programming (e.g. Python, SAS, SQL) 
• You have a structured and customer-oriented approach as we work with many and diverse stakeholders where strong project management is an asset 
• It is beneficial to have strong presentation and communication skills and ability to transpose analytical deliverables into presentation material 
• Experience in working with BI tools and data blending is preferred (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Qlick, Alteryx) 
• Preferably, you master one of the Nordic languages
