Join the department Supplier Account Management (SAM) where we are globally responsible for developing the relationship with direct suppliers to Grundfos. The SAM function is a new function in Grundfos' Corporate Purchase with Headquarters in Switzerland, and our Supplier Account Managers work across locations in Europe and China. You will be part of the Management Group with 3 dedicated colleagues, and you refer to Group Purchase Director Morten Tordrup Andersen. “As part of our team, you will be part of a whole new way of working with purchasing in Grundfos, and we are relentlessly ambitious when it comes to making this a success. In order to make this new function work, we spar closely in the Management Group and have a strong focus on partnership and performance” Morten says. Hvad drejer jobbet sig om? As Department Head you are responsible for managing Supplier Account Managers and developing the organization in cooperation with the Supplier Management Director. Furthermore, your focus is on developing the relationship with suppliers and increasing their performance. You implement contracts negotiated by sourcing managers, manage suppliers and build and implement relationship strategies. You also track and improve performance from suppliers and interact with suppliers to improve relations. In the process, you collaborate closely with Sourcing Managers, plants, product chains, product development and suppliers. The job will take you travelling 30-40 days a year. “By establishing a new purchasing function, we have split Category Management into the 2 segments: Sourcing and Supplier Account Management. By doing this, we will gain a lot of advantages including strengthening our supply chain focus in the account organization,” Morten explains. Hvad skal der til for at ansøge? You have a higher commercial or technical background or preferably a combination of the two. Further, you have 3+ years of experience with purchasing and management. You speak and write English fluently and have good skills in German. “As a person, you are goal and action oriented as we are becoming even more performance-oriented. Further, it is important that you are able to challenge ideas and processes. As you will touch base with many different stakeholders on all levels within and outside the organisation, you must be an excellent communicator and relationship builder,” Morten finishes.
