Department Manager in offshore wind farm construction

Would you like to manage and develop key resources responsible for the construction of some of the world’s largest offshore wind farms?

Join us and become Department Manager of Offshore Operations & Logistics within Offshore Wind Construction. You and your team will be responsible for providing competent resources for both asset and development projects, while training and developing staff within the department. Maintaining best practice, assuring quality and continuous improvement are all key requirements of this role.

Offshore Operations& Logistics is one of five departments in Construction. The department comprises three sub-departments supporting projects in both planning and execution in cooperation with a range of offshore operations and logistics personnel and services.

Your key tasks will be to

• lead a large and diverse department, including offshore operations and logistics, marine and helicopter coordination, marine inspection, technical support and offshore personnel
• provide skilled and competent resources for projects, including recruitment, training and development in the department
• assure quality of work performed through peer reviews and monitoring throughout the project cycle and provide recommendations for projects where required
• maintain best practice and continuous improvement, having ownership of the tools and processes to deliver this
• lead the development of how the above tasks are to be implemented in new markets, working alongside your colleagues in the Construction Management team.

Furthermore, you’ll ensure that the department is correctly represented in both internal and external forums to enable efficient and optimal delivery of value to both the projects and the company overall.

Your competences include that you

• have managerial experience from large, complex international organisations
• are able to lead leaders and have strong, proven people management skills
• have a proactive and systematic approach to your work tasks
• have strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• speak and write English fluently.

Furthermore, it’s desirable that the right candidate has experience in offshore logistics.
