Design Engineer, Test & Tools, Vestas Wind Systems A/S, Hammel (DK) Department Test & Tools has grown to become a very important business area in Vestas. The overall responsibility of Test & Tools is to develop production test equipment used globally throughout Vestas' production sites. For this position we seek a Design Engineer with experience in specifying, designing, and commissioning electrical equipment. Responsibilities and tasks You will be joining a group of 11 people who work dedicated with developing test equipment for Vestas production sites. You will be part of our development projects, designing hardware and test programs, in cooperation with your colleagues. You will be involved in all stages of our projects, from early start until hand over to the internal customer. Your responsibilities will be: Specify and develop hardware for test equipment Ensure documentation and Quality assurance of the test equipment Development of test programs - You will of course have an extensive introduction to our programming tool Ensure that the equipment we deliver fulfills internal and external legislation, standards and guidelines Guide and instruct electricians during construction of the equipment. Develop and improve guidelines and standards for developing test equipment. Commissioning of test equipment at our factories world wide Qualifications and work experience The ideal qualified candidate has the following qualifications and experience: We expect that you hold a Bachelor or a Master Degree in Engineering - preferably as Marine Engineer or Electrical Engineer, with relevant work experience. Furthermore: You are experienced in designing electrical equipment You are experienced in designing electrical circuit diagrams and lay-out drawings - preferably in Caddy++ You have knowledge to PLC programming. You have in-depth knowledge to relevant standards and legislation. Especially EN61439 and EN60204-1 You are experienced in theoretical as well as hands on working with electrical systems Knowledge to UL standards will be an advantage You characterize yourself as: Analytical and innovative, combined with a creative mindset.
