You will join the Electro Mechanical Development (EMD), which consists of 25 colleagues in 3 departments, who deliver the designs and technical documentation of new electric motors in Grundfos pumps. In your new department, EMD Rotor, which is responsible for all moving parts, i.e. shafts, rotors, and bearings, you will refer to Head of the Rotor Department, Lars Østergaard: “We are relentlessly ambitious and at the forefront of motor development. You will join a department with plenty of room for you to apply and specialise your knowledge and we aim to constantly challenge ourselves,” says Lars. Hvad drejer jobbet sig om? Your primary role will be specialised development work in mechanical engineering focusing on the moving part of an electric motor. As such, you optimise the design, which you simulate in 3D CAD and Structural FEA, to meet the requests of your stakeholders. At all times, you are balancing 2 or 3 projects, engaging with colleagues and suppliers in the process while making sure to use the available in-house knowledge in the process. Furthermore, your daily work consists of supporting platform development to ensure that necessary technologies and process improvements are available for future projects. On an ongoing basis, you support your colleagues’ work, as you construct the department’s solutions. “Your challenge will be to make sure we create the best possible motors and that we are on the forefront of our stakeholders’ needs. You will be part of taking our projects to the next level, as you deploy both your own - and your colleagues’ - knowledge in motors for Grundfos’ pumps,” Lars explains. Hvad skal der til for at ansøge? You have a BA or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or, alternatively, Electronic Engineering with mechanical design experience, and experience with project team work, where you have applied 3D CAD and 2D part drawings. You are theoretically well-founded, which you apply as you develop new solutions. In your daily work, you communicate with international Grundfos staff and suppliers and strong English skills is a must. “As a person, you are outgoing and cooperative towards your colleagues and suppliers. You are structured and thorough, securing high-quality solutions and timely deliverables. In a sometimes hectic work environment, you are flexible to support several projects at once as well as changes in the project portfolio,“ Lars says.
