Vestas Director, Electrical, Power & Control Electrical Power & Control is responsible for development of the electrical systems in the turbine, covering the converter, transformer, high voltage cables, switchgear, auxiliary power supply, control system integration, safety system and panel design. The development is based on requirements put forward by the System Leads from PPR (Power Production), APS (Auxiliary Power) & CCI (Control & Communication). The design needs to satisfy the complete value chain from sourcing, through manufacturing, installation, service and decommissioning. Responsibilities: As Director for Electrical, Power & Control you will report to the Senior Vice President of Nacelle, Power & Handling and be part of the management team. You will manage a global team which delivers on own projects and supports many internal customers in the organization as well as actively engage with suppliers and customers. Your main responsibilities and tasks will be: Building and developing the Electrical, Power & Control department in the global footprint of Vestas - including securing implementation of new strategy. Developing the competencies within the department to achieve functional excellence in all areas of responsibility. Developing/maturing/implementing the right tools and test facilities to support the responsibility of the department. Constantly improve the departments value proposition in co-operation with relevant stakeholders Deliver quality results and, at the same time, meet the deadlines. Prioritize between tasks in a trade-off between value-addition, resources and urgency. Manage budget and resources within the department. Qualifications: You have a relevant degree in engineering, science or leadership. You have proven experience in managing teams or departments in cross-functional international organizations preferably across multiple sites. You have more than 10 years of experience, preferably from R&D organizations, consultancy or manufacturing. You have solid experience in executing projects using Stage Gate Model philosophy. You have a proven track record of demonstrated ability to make independent decisions and manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment. You must be responsive and willing to take ownership of issues and drive solutions. You must possess strong English language skills.
