Job Description

Are you an expert within global trade compliance? Do you have the potential to develop to Global Trade Compliance Manager over time? And are you a good coordinator and used to working in a global and multicultural environment? If so, then you might be the new colleague we are looking for to join our team in Danfoss Global Services Logistics. Here, you will become part of a team, which is responsible for trade compliance, freight management and transport procurement, and you will report to the current Global Trade Compliance Manager. The position is located in Rødekro, Denmark, and occasional travel to other Danfoss facilities internationally can be expected.

Key role in ensuring good business processes
As our new Global Trade Compliance Specialist and Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the import and export compliance program in Danfoss. You will be in control of providing valuable expert insights concerning regulatory requirements and obligations of exporting and importing various goods. Moreover, you will play a key role in ensuring that the regulatory requirements and business processes associated with cross-border movements function smoothly, while also ensuring that issues and risks are identified and managed efficiently.

Your key tasks will be to:

• Support import/export operational processes and procedures
• Assist with development, implementation and maintenance of import and export compliance standards, procedures and work instructions
• Define and continually measure and analyze key performance indicators (KPI)
• Lead the management of current and future trade compliance projects
• Coordinate the activities and communications of a multicultural trade compliance team
• Support the Classification of Products under the Harmonized System
• Support the determination of country of origin and preference origin of finished products
• Manage sanction party list and embargo screening

Specialist and team coordinator in global trade compliance
You properly hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business or international studies, but you can also hold another relevant educational background. More importantly, you have solid experience in trade compliance and have preferably worked with product classification, export controls, import/export/intrastat declarations, preference and non-preference origin management, customs valuation and safeguard measures. You will bring your skills into play as a specialist in global trade compliance and also be the team coordinator for the internal Global Trade Compliance community. It is an advantage, if you have experience within compliance risk analysis. We expect that you have excellent knowledge of various global customs regulations and the ability to apply technical knowledge of regulations to business transactions. It is also a desire, that you have experience with SAP R3 and/or S4 ERP Platforms.

As a person, you are highly analytical and organized. We expect that you are able to utilize your experience to take a lead role in the management of current and future trade compliance projects. You are responsive to deadlines and consistent in producing quality work. You are a good coordinator and used to work in a global and multicultural environment. Moreover, you work well in a fast-paced environment. Last, but not least, you are fluent in both written and spoken English.
