Greenpeace Nordic is hiring a full-time Front-end Developer to join our newly formed Digital Systems Unit. The position is based in Copenhagen and has an employment period of 12 months, with a potential of transitioning into permanent employment.

Your task
In your role, you will mainly be focusing on the maintenance, support and further development of Greenpeace Nordic’s petition-, fundraising- and volunteer platforms.
In addition, this role also develops and/or consults on various projects, often related to specific campaign projects or the expansion of our (global) WordPress-based website and React-based fundraising platform.
Through these projects you will directly enable the programme-, fundraising- and volunteer units in their work. The position is line managed by the manager of the Digital Systems Unit, and accompanied by our Digital Analyst, while often also working closely together with the Digital Programme Unit.
Your profile
- A higher education in computer science or at least four years of professional experience in front-end development
- Solid experience with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, PHP and SQL
- Solid experience with JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Next.js, React, etc)
- Working knowledge of programs within Adobe Creative Cloud
- Ability to turn graphic design assets into functional code
- An understanding of servers, database- and CRM systems, data tracking/analysis, UX and accessibility
- Proficiency in the English language
- Proficiency in a Nordic language is a plus
- Commitment to the mission, principles and values of Greenpeace. Previous experience from working in a non-profit organization is a plus, but not a requirement. You do not need to be an environmental activist, but should share our values and support our cause.
If you have a flair for development and communication, then you will fit in perfectly with our campaign organization.
