Taking Technology & Innovation to the next level  

As Head of Global Technology & Innovation, you will lead a global cross-disciplinary department and will be responsible for setting the strategic direction. Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Advancing technology & product roadmaps 
  • Providing technical thought-leadership to inspire both internally and externally 
  • Providing daily management and operation incl. resource and competency allocation 
  • Developing best-in-class R&D organisation regarding quality, efficiency, flexibility and maturity 
  • Developing own IPR for products in serial production  
  • Handling of quality aspects related to own IPR technologies & products  
  • Supporting product committee and development of business plans on new products 
  • Ensuring open innovation in collaborations with the top tier universities 
  • Launching new technology projects and digital solutions.   

You will play an essential role in the deployment of our corporate strategy driving the product development and solutions accordingly. You will have interfaces with the entire organisation which will require a strong collaborative instincts, strategic experience and confidence in decision-making.

With an entrepreneurial mindset, you demonstrate inspiring leadership, leveraging your vast experience and comprehensive understanding of technologies to accelerate innovation and to communicate strategic visions clearly and persuasively to a broad audience. Moreover, you possess: 

  • Successful track record in commercial market entry with new products or technologies 
  • Visionary leadership skills, including ability to create a high-performance culture 
  • Expert industry knowledge and experience, i.e. Wind Turbine Control and Management Systems 
  • Experience with managing R&D in an environment with multi-country/cultural teams 
  • Experience with cross-disciplinary development projects (Software, Electronic, Power Electronic) 
  • Experience with innovation & project management incl. commercial aspects 
  • Experience with relevant standards, e.g. UL/CSA and applicable IEC standards 
  • Experience with external collaborations and funding 
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including ability to present to large groups 
  • Ability to thrive in a high work capacity environment on multiple priorities under pressure 
  • Ability to do creative problem solving and handle complexity
