The Internal Audit team is also changing, and will play an integral part in this transformation.  That’s why LEO Pharma has created a new position for an Internal Audit Manager, which will give you the opportunity to be part of the journey and contribute to making a significant difference for people with serious skin diseases all over the world.

Your role

The Internal Audit Manager has a global remit for the internal audit activity, including planning audits, executing the fieldwork, and reporting to senior management and the Audit Committee on the findings, supporting the compliance functions with corporate governance requirements in relation to risk management, internal control and associated reporting:

• Lead and perform Internal Audit reviews through:

          -   Mapping business processes

          -   Developing work programmes

          -   Conducting fieldwork and testing

          -   Benchmarking and evaluating processes for improvements

          -   Recommending solutions

          -   Presenting reports to Management

• Perform follow-up reviews to monitor and track the implementation of recommendations
• Assist in planning, and development of the annual Internal Audit Plan
• Maintain client relationships on both operational and management level
• Research, analyse and share relevant best practices and benchmarking to support audit recommendations
• Assist in the continuous improvement and development of Group Internal Audit standards, manuals and audit techniques to enhance the quality and effectiveness of the reviews

You will report to the Global Head of Internal Audit and be based at LEO Pharma headquarters in Ballerup, Denmark, near Copenhagen.

Your qualifications

• To be successful in this job, you have comleted a university degree with business emphasis in a related field (e.g. Accounting, Finance, computing etc.) and in addition bring: 5+ years in an external or internal audit role
• Accountancy or Internal Audit qualification is preferred
• Experience working in an international environment, liaising across multiple locations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English)
• Experience of the Life Sciences industry would be an advantage

This role will suit an innovative and well rounded Internal Audit professional, who possesses a strong mix of technical and stakeholder management skills. You will be encouraged to work with a high level of autonomy and independence, and be tasked with driving the Internal Audit function forward.  In this global role, business travel around 30-60 days per year should be expected.
