Oak Of Copenhagen is a new furniture maker company that produces modern, high-end furniture in a high design quality with strong roots in danish and scandinavian design. Our design is more rustic than typical and we appreciate the nuances and details of real wood so we use everything that nature has given us to produce the most delicious furniture. That's why each and every piece of furniture is unique in its character and appearance. Therefore, customers find a much greater joy in owning our furniture than by owning a mass-produced or even a classic joinery furniture. We craft the products by using modern hand tools at our workshop at Hillerød, outside Copenhagen, Denmark.

Following a marketing effort, we now meet an increasing demand and order flow, so we are hiring an enthusiastic  “woodworker" / jointer - from an EU country or from Denmark - who want to build furniture in a daily collaboration with the design manager, who directs all designs.

You are first and foremost good at using your hands and tools to work in wood. You also have the ability to familiarize yourself with new techniques that you may not know in advance and possibly improve the methods for our particular conditions. Often we develop new tools or jigs for our needs. You may have learned traditional methods or finishing techniques from your past, but you are open to potentially put that to the side and learn new methods that our designs and the scandinavian style requires. Your working day requires you to both appreciate to work alone for several hours at a time and also participating in a close, daily coordination with the design manager. Perhaps you are trained in woodworking, but maybe not. Perhaps you are self-taught but are highly interested and talented in woodworking. So diploma is not a requirement.

By coming to Denmark for work, you can get a good salary in an attractive country. We emphasize good cooperation between manager and employee as we create the best products and results. We have respect for each other and show each other openness and trust.

You need to speak, understand and read some English or Danish and you would like to learn more as daily conversation and text messages are all in English (or Danish). Routine in using a smartphone, camera, e-mail, etc. is a necessity.

The workplace is located in the beautiful countryside just outside the town Hillerød and there are only 650 m to a train station, which takes you to the center of Hillerød town in 5 minutes - and on to Copenhagen center in 45 minutes.

The salary level is 2700 to 4300 EUR per month before tax, depending on the agreed working hours and competencies. The company pays for the travel to Denmark. Smartphone with Danish subscription is part of the package.
