In Offshore Logistics we are looking for a process oriented Logistics Coordinator to join the team in Vejle. The team consists of five dedicated employees who all contribute to an efficient supply of equipment and materials required for transportation of main component to all Offshore wind turbine projects run by Siemens Gamesa.  

 

As our new Logistics Coordinator you will become part of the Offshore outbound logistics organization. Overall this function ensures storage, distribution and maintenance of all the equipment required for supporting the transportation of our main components. This includes monitoring the availability of items, expediting sources, managing the material and equipment orders as well as optimizing the material flow.

 

What are my responsibilities?

• Monitoring and initiating improvement to any technical, process related or financial aspects of the transport equipment handling
• Ensuring the proper planning and on time delivery of equipment to projects when required
• Monitoring and coordinating returns of equipment to our warehouses with the main aim of ensuring availability of equipment for the next projects
• Ordering missing equipment from the purchasing department to ensure availability of equipment for upcoming projects·        Creating and deciding, validating and updating possible sets of equipment for different components by analysing the future demand, available materials and afterwards updating the internal documentation and tools
• Maintaining SAP with regards to equipment to make sure that the process for equipment is compliant with internal rules and standards

What do I need to qualify for this job?    

• You have an educational background within Logistics, Engineering, Supply Chain processes or similar, preferably combined with some years of relevant professional experience
• As a person, you are open-minded, flexible and a fast learner with strong analytical skills
• Furthermore, you are process oriented and able to ensure that data elements are correctly set up in our IT system
• You have a systematic and result-oriented approach to your assignments, and you are a dedicated team player capable of keeping a sense of perspective in a dynamic and international environment
• You possess great English skills, both orally and in writing
