Are you an expert in sales forecasting and demand planning? Are you excited by understanding complex market dynamics and have the ability to foresee the future market demand? Then you might be our new Manager – Global Forecasting within Danfoss Power Solutions. You will be leading a team of 4 members spread in different locations in Europe and US and will be reporting to the Senior Director, Global Controlling, Sales and Marketing. Until 2013, the Power Solutions business was known as Sauer-Danfoss and was the result of a carefully crafted May 2000 merger and a series of subsequent strategic acquisitions – all enhancing product offerings and system solution capabilities. Click the link to know more about the segment: http://powersolutions.danfoss.com Leading global sales forecasting and demand planning •You will focus on improving the sales forecasting processes and systems, ensuring that forecast accuracy is consistently improving. You will continuously improve methods of gathering market and customer intelligence, and integrating it into the planning process. You will also be responsible for: •Communicating changes in forecast, change drivers and areas of risk to Supply Chain and Sales and Marketing leadership •Maintaining and improving strong relationships through monthly Sales and Operations Planning meetings, efficiently delivering accurate information to Supply Chain •Developing and reaching agreement on appropriate measures of forecast accuracy and forecast bias •Preparing regular reports on forecast accuracy, analyze trends and identify opportunities for improving the accuracy of future sales forecasts •Holding monthly/quarterly presentation on the forecast to the leadership teams Education and Experience •BSc or MSc in Business Administration, Finance, or related fields •Bring in 3 to 5 years of professional experience in the area of Sales Forecasting, preferably in an international environment •Experience with design, development and implementation of global processes •Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts •Knowledge of Microsoft Office is required, knowledge of SAP/APO or Anaplan or other software related to demand planning is preferred •APICS or other forecasting Certification preferred •Excellent command of English language required •Pro-active working style who enjoys working in international teams with demonstrated ability to build relationships across functions and locations •You will be required to travel in Europe, mainly between Nordborg and Neumunster, globally less than 10% For information about this position, please contact, Evgenia Wittal, Talent Acquisition Manager, EMA on +49 69 8902384.
