Production Engineering Blades Production Engineering Tooling, is responsible for the development of manufacturing solutions for the blades production for wind turbines, as well as prototype technology projects. The Tooling team is a project oriented team delivering both to new product developments and supporting our blades factories around the world during installation and running production. The Tooling Documentation department is a sub-department within the Tooling organisation. Responsibilities: The Tooling Documentation department is responsible for a wide and diverse range of deliveries and strategic development areas. The department consist of around 10 persons, and is an organic mix of CAD designers, Technical assistants, engineering assistants and engineers. The department has the ownership of Tooling bill of materials, documentation packages, CE marking lead, 3D and 2D CAD designs, and tooling spare part setup. The Tooling Documentation manager will refer directly to the Tooling Director and be an integral and vital part of the Tooling Leadership group. The Tooling Documentation Manager and the department’s areas of responsibilities primarily cover: •Together with the Tooling director and technical leadership team, develop the tooling documentation area, focusing on a lean and effective setup and supporting business processes definitions •Own the entire IT area of Tooling design, including CAD software packages, various documentation systems (SAP, EAM, PDM, INFOR XA and others) •Setting the standard of CE and UL marking requirements for tooling development •Managing the various master BOM lists of tooling drawings and associated documents for the various blade manufacturing lines •Delivering the majority of 3D and 2D CAD models and drawings for tooling designs •Documenting and managing the entire range of spare parts for tools in all blade manufacturing factories •Utilizing synergies and collaborating with sub-suppliers, external engineering offices and other Vestas CAD design departments primarily in India. Qualifications and competencies: You are an experienced people manager able to handle an ever changing environment, and seeing people succeed energizes you. You are attracted by an international environment with a high level of activity. •You are experienced with various people management methods •Experience from an engineering or production environment and design and development processes. •Knowledge of CE marking and machinery directive. •Knowledge of Business IT solutions and integrating and optimizing their use •Experience with 3D CAD modelling (Solidworks, PRO E, Cartia, etc.) •Find it easy to work with people in different global locations and from different cultural backgrounds. •You’re prepared to work in an environment under constant change •Good communication skills in English, orally and written.
