Vestas Power Solutions is the cornerstone of Vestas. Through innovation, development and continuous product improvement we develop the products and technologies that reduce the cost of energy and bring the highest possible value to our customers and to Vestas. To put it short: Vestas Power Solutions develops the wind power systems of the future.

Data Applications is a sub department of Data Engineering & Analytics with 15 employees all located in Aarhus, Denmark and 25+ external contractors distributed in both Denmark and in Poland. The department is responsible for building data driven applications that bring value to both internal and external customers. We continuously work to increase the bar of software applications that enable data in the renewable wind industry. We work with an agile mindset and strive to be front runners when it comes to applying new technologies and practices in Vestas.

Responsibilities
You will be one of the key drivers of designing and developing the applications built in the Data Applications department. You will be involved in projects from initial requirements to support and maintenance, as part of a team that pursues a DevOps strategy. You will collaborate with stakeholders both internally across the whole Vestas R&D and externally throughout the global organisation.

Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of systems- and software development in the Data Applications department
• Design and implement systems with focus on 99.99% uptime, maintainability and IT security
• Transform requirements from stakeholders into generic software solutions
• Deliver end-to-end cost-effective solutions, that add maximum value to our customers and to Vestas
• Keep yourself and the department up-to-date on relevant technology
• Align with and participate in development of technology roadmaps

Qualifications
We are open to most educational backgrounds (information technologist, bachelor, master or similar) - the most important thing is your passion for software development and making a difference!

It will be an advantage if you have knowledge or experience in some of the following areas:

• Distributed systems
• Event sourcing
• Continuous Delivery
• Automation
• Micro services
• Metrics / Monitoring

In Vestas, we work with state-of-the-art technologies and you be able to work with the following technologies:

• C#/.NET/.NET Core, Angular, Kafka, SQL-Server, EventStore, Linux, ELK Stacken, Redis, Scripting (Powershell Bash), Octopus, Prometheus / Grafana and REST APIs.

We don't expect you to have experience with all the above technologies but being curious about them.

Additional information
Work location is in Aarhus, Denmark.
