In this position, you can take your skill set to the next level as you grow and develop in areas such as performance management, forecasting and planning, project management and systems thinking.Your challenges

You join the VELUX Regional Logistics department and will oversee the Nordic market, alternating between the offices in Hørsholm, Denmark, and Helsingborg, Sweden. Taking on this versatile role, you will develop cost-effective logistic services across Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway. Your goal will be to deliver operational excellence in logistics, achieving supply chain and departmental targets through performance management.

More specifically, you will collaborate with outsourced logistics transport providers (LSPs), just as you create and monitor forecasts for the Nordic logistics operation. Also, you will:

• Follow up on LSP performance by monitoring IOD data, returns and credits in SAP, complaints and qualitative feedback from customers
• Run monthly operational meetings with all LSPs, preparing slides on performance issues
• Liaise directly with customers on escalated complaints until the issues are resolved
• Prepare KPIs for monthly performance meetings
• Participate in local and global transport-related projects

In addition, you will interact with key stakeholders within the Nordic Sales organisation to gain an in-depth understanding of what matters to the internal and external customer.

Your qualifications

Working both independently as well as in close cooperation with LSPs, clients and colleagues, you will need to be highly motivated and driven. Furthermore, you will discover that this position requires you to be able to work in a complex organisation and use your flexibility and adaptability to work with multiple goals and a certain amount of ambiguity. Moreover, we imagine that you:

• Have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business management or similar
• Preferably have 2+ years of experience in logistics and/or distribution from a sales or production organisation where you have shown good results
• Are ready to travel 40 days a year and able to work at both offices
• Speak and write English fluently 

Your opportunitiesIn the wider regional logistics team that mainly supports Great Britain and Ireland, you will gain 11 colleagues who are always ready to lend assistance and support, together with the wider central logistics teams. Furthermore, you will work closely with the operational team in Nordics where you will find many of your day-to-day colleagues. Lastly, as we have only just merged the Nordic region into one entity, you join VELUX at a very exciting time. Tackling the responsibility of this market during the transition, you get the chance to put your stamp on your own position.
