We are investing significantly in future digital cloud solutions and MES platforms, and need more capacity in our consultancy team, so we are looking for a new colleague that have potential to lead implementing new IT solutions.

As a Production IT consultant, you will join the global Production IT organisation, which provides consultancy and IT systems to all Grundfos production companies globally. Here, you will be the one of our contact persons to the production sites in Grundfos and the Group Operations functions, acting as a business consultant to key stakeholders. You will be part of a highly skilled team of developers, supporters and specialists, and you will play an important role in shaping the way Production IT supports the production in general.

Specifically, you will proactive in the cross-functional collaboration with our IT division as well as with the business to gain a holistic view of the Operations requirement and scope the business projects accordingly. Clarifying the needs of the business and translating requirements into new or existing solutions in the portfolio of IT applications, you strive to balance development of new functionalities with the reuse of on-the-shelf solutions. Doing so, you actively influence the strategy and direction for the IT solutions that Production IT delivers.

"You will be application owner for selected applications for the manufacturing area. And with that responsibility comes ample opportunity to influence the area. Right now, we are in the process of replacing some of our existing systems with new ones like Microsoft Azure and a new MES platform. You will have the opportunity to help us rethink everything," says manager of Production IT Solutions Kristian Kragh.

Take the lead in application development for the electronics production

Reporting to the manager of Production IT Solutions, you are the primary point of contact in your role as application owner and coordinating all improvement activities with our governance structure. You will mostly participate in business project developing tomorrows digital solutions for operations.

Your responsibilities include:

• Application lifecycle management
• Participation in governance of applications and change requests
• Alignment of application architecture with enterprise architecture in collaboration with the delivery area architect
• IT security in all applications
• Application consultancy as the application owner

"As an application consultant, your job is to ensure that the technological solutions that Production IT develops for the production add maximum value to the business. To succeed in this, you work closely with group functions as well as with the production plants and your team in Production IT," says Kristian Kragh.

Consultant with experience in discrete production

You are a natural-born consultant because you excel at stakeholder management and communicate efficiently with shop floor operators and managers alike. Moreover, you excel at giving presentations and explaining how new technology solutions add value to the business, because you motivate and convince stakeholders with ease. At the same time, your curious nature drives you to seek inspiration from outside the organization by participating in seminars and exchanging insights with similar production companies.

• You have a technical degree and have at least 3 years of experience from a similar role.
• You communicate efficiently in written and spoken English. Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement.
• You have experience with MES systems and understand how these systems give business value.
• Preferably, you have experience from a discrete manufacturer or a production company with in-house manufacturing of electronic or have worked as a consultant for such companies.
• It is an advantage if you are familiar with software development.

"In this role, it is important that you have general knowledge of app development as well as of the manufacturing environment and the business in order to translate requirements into highly functional solutions. And equally importantly, you need to be able to communicate efficiently in all three areas," says Kristian Kragh.
