R&D Project Manager for Offshore Turbine Product Development

About the position

For our Offshore Technology department in Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy in Brande, Denmark, we are looking for an experienced and skilled Project Manager to lead wind turbine development projects for future world class offshore wind turbines.

As project manager you will be heading the team of project managers working with you to realize the project and maintain strong relations to all relevant project stakeholders across the business.

 

About the role

You will lead large scale and complex wind turbine product development projects involving domains and stakeholders across the entire business, with full project responsibility in terms of time, cost and quality delivered - from scoping phase until project closure.

Overseeing the entire project, and covering all project management disciplines, you lead the execution of the project and involves with key stakeholders (including for example procurement, production and service) in a positive and constructive manner. You represent the project at the Steering Committee meeting monthly.

The PM is overall responsible for delivering technically robust and fully compliant designs to the best possible product cost, and to execute the project in accordance with Siemens Gamesa Technology processes and tools – this is ensured by attention to all aspects, together with your team.

 

As an experienced PM, you improve ways of working together with your project team, as well as together with the rest of the organization.
 
 

About you

You foster trust and cooperation at all layers of the organization and can tackle even difficult situations with a constructive and positive attitude. You are a team player and a natural networker with the ability to work with many and different stakeholders within a complex business.

It is natural for you to keep a holistic overview of your project, without missing out on the important details and the people involved.
You have a structured approach to your assignments and can handle project scope changes occurring in a dynamic R&D environment to the full satisfaction of your stakeholders.

 

To be successful in this role you:

• Preferably have a background or experience with wind turbine design or application
• Preferably have a degree in engineering combined with several years of experience of project management, preferable within product development / R&D
• Have experience with project management of complex projects with multiple stakeholders and suppliers. It is an advantage if you have documented your experience through relevant Project Management certification (for example IPMA B/C, PMP, Prince2 Foundation/Practitioner) and a relevant project track record
• Possess strong communication skills in English, both orally and in writing
