DTU Nanotech at the Technical University of Denmark conducts cross-disciplinary research where micro- and nanotechnology is applied to a wide range of scientific disciplines as well as applications. Responsibilities and tasks DTU Nanotech wishes to employ a research assistant for an approx. 6 month period from as soon as possible and to the 31st of August 2016. The work will consist in evaluating different excipients to promote a rapid re-suspension of the active ingredient while ensuring its long term stability. Work will also involve the fabrication of polymer devices where the reagents are spray coated and stored. The excipient evaluation will consist in the performance evaluation, through the development of an automated image analysis protocol, of fluorescently stained cells. Qualifications The ideal candidate holds a master’s degree (or a similar degree with an academic level equivalent to master’s degree) in chemistry, bio/nanotechnology, or pharmaceutical technology. A master’s project or previous work experience regarding dry storage of reagents on surfaces, and/or spray coating is preferred. Knowledge or interest in automating image analysis protocols will be preferred. Assessment The assessment of the applicants will be made by Professor Martin Dufva, and Postdoc Pedro Nunes.
