Robot developer to conceptualise, develop and implement flexible next-generation industrial robot technology. Danish Technological Institute in Odense works with developing, optimising and utilising innovative robot-based solutions. We are currently seeking an end-user-focussed developer capable of conceptualising new ideas for industrial robotic solutions and who will participate in development projects and customer projects in collaboration with leading Danish and international businesses and research institutes. At the Danish Technological Institute in Odense, our primary aim is to translate our technical expertise within the field of robot technology into tangible solutions for our customers. Developing Robot Co-workers As our new colleague, your primary tasks will focus on developing the flexible industrial robots of the future – the so-called Robot Co-workers (http://www.teknologisk.dk/ydelser/dti-robot-co-worker-for-assembly/32940 Joining a dynamic team with a wide-ranging and industry-leading level of specialised knowledge, the successful applicant will work with: developing industrial demonstrators, prototypes and customer solutions implementing highly automated robotic systems – from concept to initialisation participating in projects dealing with flexible industrial robots ensuring that development projectsare translated into usable industrial applications The position calls for an individual with an outgoing and analytical profile who is motivated by carrying a concept through to a project which in turn becomes a pioneering industrial application. Activities to this effect include: creating new and innovative projects in collaboration with Danish and international companies, research partners and, not least, your colleagues within the Institute. establishing, developing and expanding a network between national and international partners by participating in projects, conferences and trade fairs, as well as ensuring open dialogue between the Institute and our partners. This work will be carried out in close co-operation with project managers, customers and partners. A background in robot technology This position is open to all qualified engineers who have a background in robotic technology – applicants with a relevant PhD will be viewed favourably. We expect that you have a thorough knowledge of and interest in some of the following areas: Industrial Robotic technology Software development Motion planning, AI and/or sensor technology Applicants are expected to be well versed with C++. Furthermore, experience in developing reliable solutions based on advanced technology and interest/experience in project management would be advantageous. As our new robot developer, you will enjoy working in a dynamic and innovative environment working at the cutting edge of technological development. Consequently, you will be expected to be capable of taking initiative and of developing new business opportunities – a team player who takes personal responsibility for ensuring that project succeeds. Robot solutions on a global scale The 40-strong staff at the DTI Robot Technology Centre works to develop and implement new technologies within existing and new products for industry, manufacturing and production.
