The Market Area Team Industrial Processes - who covers a large range of applications within industrial media transport, i.e. Machine tools, Wash & Clean and general industrial liquid transport - is looking for a  Senior Global Application Manager to join the Business Development function in the Industry Segment.

The position holder will be responsible for providing practical oriented technical consultancy and education, based on a close dialogue and internal knowledge exchange. The team’s responsibility is to optimize the customers’ systems and processes and thus support them in achieving competitive advantages. You will refer to the Senior Director for the Market Area, Mr. Jimm Feldborg.

The location for this global position is based at our HQ in Bjerringbro, Denmark. You must consider 40-100 travel days per year.

 

What you will do:

As Application Manager you are accountable for defining the future offerings, giving enhanced support to sales and securing the growth strategy. For this, you will ensure that the right application knowledge and tools are present and available in our organization and for selected distribution channel partners. You create and maintain technical literature and are responsible for continued global learning and knowledge creation around the application areas.

Further, you carry out the trainer or speaker role in seminars, customer events and fairs. You build partnerships with external application expert centres and follow technology and commercial areas to ensure input for our Business and technology planning.

Another important part of your role will be to demonstrate where Grundfos can create new business, based on exciting components in your application areas. You give input to segment strategy, with a focus on basic offerings, bundled deliveries and integrated system solution thinking from a customer/application point of view.

“The challenge in this position will be to have the global overview as well as react, execute and make things happen together with local management and at the same time with your solid knowledge develop people around you,” Jimm explains.

 

What you will need:

• You have a relevant technical background, with either a significant product knowledge or within the Industrial solutions.
• Minimum 6 years of experience, with at least 2 years of your track record in sales, service, product management or in an engineering position in a manufacturing or development environment.
• Stakeholder management.
• Capable of communicating throughout all levels of the organization.
• Holistic system thinking and digital acumen.
