The Novo Nordisk Digital Health initiatives develop digital therapeutics and solutions for people living with Diabetes. We are searching for a Senior IT Project Manager with extensive experience with programme management as well as platform development, agile methodology, partner integration, mobile solutions and analytics who preferably has experience from Healthcare or another regulated industry.
Digital Health is a new and exciting area where innovative digital solutions will supplement the Novo Nordisk drug offerings. You will work closely with the Digital Health business unit, developing new digital products, new ways of interacting with patients and new business models. You will be working with mobile and emerging technologies, cloud offerings and you will explore new development methods. You will help find new ways of working by being innovative and overcome challenges related to development with partners, in a heavy regulated and complex environment.
About the department
Digital Health IT is responsible for delivering innovative IT solutions to Novo Nordisk’s entry into the space of Digital Health which is a prioritized strategic focus area for Novo Nordisk.
The department is anchored in the unit: Digital Incubator & Innovation. We have existed less than three years and we continuously move into new areas, where new ideas, competencies, solutions and perspectives are needed.
The Department and the colleagues are full of energy, highly flexible and adaptive in an environment where changes, updates and releases happens daily, and the prioritization and focus are changed as we discover new opportunities. We work in close partnership with both the Digital Health business unit and with external partners to bring the best innovative solutions to market for our patients.
The position
You will be managing the programme and have the full overview of all ongoing projects by ensuring cross-project meetings and reporting to prioritize together with the business.
Furthermore, you will secure project governance, supplier contracts, efficient resource management etc. You will be responsible for driving the projects from idea to go-live including final transition to DevOps. Together with business colleagues you will ensure that great ideas for people with diabetes are matured and turned into development initiatives. Together with our external partners and the Global IT organisation you will build strong project teams translating the initiatives into successful projects delivering tangible benefits to the people with diabetes and other stakeholders.
The project teams typically consist of approx. 5-20 team members who indirectly reports to you and you are expected to lead, develop and motivate to ensure that the team becomes a success together.
Projects include Digital Health platform upgrade, partner integrations, IT strategy and support for executive decisions. You will be exposed to many different organisational areas throughout Novo Nordisk both in Denmark and globally.
As Senior IT Project Manager, you are expected to take part in the development of the department, be proactive in identifying better practices and bring improvements to the area, participate in or lead internal optimisation projects in Global IT and coach new employees in the area to inspire and share learnings and knowledge.
The position is based in Søborg and you should expect 25-35 days of travel.
Qualifications
You have a Master's degree within relevant field and a proven track record with 4-5 years’ experience in IT programme and project management. Preferably you are familiar with cloud offerings, mobile technologies and apps. You have delivered successful projects working with external IT partners. You have managed projects with more than 2.000 development hours and you have experience working within pharma or another regulated industry.
You have worked with an innovation agenda and have a ‘can do’ mind-set required to try out new setups and solutions. You are known for your ability to set ambitious targets and apply a structured approach to build winning project teams and to spot win-win situations in unusual places. You can convince others to accept new concepts, practices and approaches and are excellent in communicating and handling stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, in different geographies and across cultures.
You are fluent in English (oral and written), and your structured way of working and general overview enables you to handle several tasks at the same time while keeping an ongoing focus on results.
To succeed, it is crucial that you thrive in working independently and in a team as both the lead and a contributor. In addition, you must have strong work ethic and willingness to take responsibility and drive success. Since you will be working globally you must expect some meetings to take place outside DK working hours.
