Industrialisation > Project Excellence > Project Execution
In the Vestas Power Solutions business unit, you will be part of the Project Excellence organisation in the Industrialisation area. Your projects will primarily be business improvement projects, e.g. digital transformation or lifecycle management projects where development of software solutions is a dominant part. You will be responsible for leading project teams across Vestas and with sites in multiple countries. 

In this role, you will both have direct project reports and also lead through sub-project managers and team leads from the organisation. The projects have a significant business impact and you must be proficient in risk management to ensure that business-critical decisions are fact-based.

Your base will be in Aarhus, Denmark, and you will have limited travel to Vestas sites internationally when needed. As Senior Project Manager, you will be a role model and have a direct impact on the output from Vestas Power Solutions. 
 

Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities include:

• Organise, budget, plan and execute large projects, end-to-end 
• Set up an effective organisation of your projects including a strong governance 
• Interface and communicate with a large range of stakeholders in the entire value chain
• Supervise other project managers and leads/coordinators in your projects
• Ensure delivery within time, quality and cost targets
• Contribute to the development of project maturity and play an active role in implementing new processes and portfolio overview

Qualifications
You aspire to become a successful project manager of complex cross-functional innovation or development projects, and you possess the following qualifications:

• A degree within engineering, IT, Technology Management or similar relevant educational background
• Experience with software development and change management, possibly SAP development and roll-out
• Experience with integrated projects in a matrix organisation with multi-disciplinary teams 
• Experience as a project manager leading through sub-projects or sub-teams
• At least 5 years of documented project management experience including all phases of a project
• Stakeholder management and risk management at a high professional level
• Strong business acumen and understanding of how critical project decisions impact Vestas’ business goals

Competencies

• Be a strong communicator with the ability to target the relevant audience in the organisation
• Have excellent leadership skills and be organised and disciplined in executing projects
• Be a flexible, pro-active and outgoing team player
• Be experienced in stage-gate model project delivery and preferably hold a recognised project management accreditation (Prince2, PMI or IPMA are most relevant)
• Be proficient in English verbally and written
