Global Procurement > Business Development & Operations (BD&O) > IPD & Platform Projects

As part of the Global Procurement area, the Integrated Product Development department is responsible for execution of new platform development projects, Mark upgrade projects and technology projects within Supply Chain Management globally for Vestas Wind Systems A/S. Being part of the platform core team the department participate from the early stages in new platform projects, where the business assessment is taking place until the global roll out has been finalized.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive integrated product development projects within Global Procurement through effective leadership, change and stakeholder management in close co-operation with the business units Vestas Power Solutions (VPS) and Manufacturing.
• Fully responsible for Supply Chain readiness throughout the development projects until global product ramp-up, including supplier selection, capacity fulfillment etc.
• Responsible for cross-organizational product implementation towards the different production units like Assembly, Blades, Power Conversion and Towers.
• Ensure that the Global Procurement strategies are transferred into actions in the new product development projects, including Design for Sourcing.
• Responsible for monitoring and reporting project cost, time and quality to ensure that projects meet agreed requirements.
• Take full ownership of all deliverables from Global Procurement according to the Vestas stage gate model in all projects.
• Perform Risk Management with systematically collected and reported issues, address mitigation actions, responsibilities and timelines.
• Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.

Qualifications

You have approximately 10+ years' experience with project management. In addition, we expect you to have:

• A relevant BSc or MSc in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Management or equivalent combined with experience from procurement, project-, stakeholder- and change management.
• A proven track record within international product introduction with a holistic understanding of and approach to project management, preferably from the wind turbine industry or similar.
• At least 4 years' experience from a similar senior position, and you have successfully established in-house or outsourced international production of new complex products.
• Experience from a management position within supply chain operations, or a similar project management position.

Competencies

• To be successful in the job, it is important that you possess the following professional and personal skills:
• Strong Leadership and influencing capabilities within a matrix organization.
• Expertise in stakeholder management.
• Experience in Stage Gate Model project delivery.
• Proven experience in managing global multi-cultural teams.
• Certified in Project Management such as Prince2, PMI or equivalent.
• Your personal skills cover persistency, flexibility and the ability to execute independently, and ability to delegate.
• You are an excellent communicator and at ease talking to stakeholders at all levels.
• Speaking and writing English at a high level is required - mastering additional language/s such as Danish, Spanish, Chinese or German is advantageous.

Additional information
