Become a part of our Architect team in Kamstrup
We are experiencing rapid growth and are investing massively in development and production of intelligent metering equipment and in systems for wireless reading of consumption meters for electricity, water and heating. Due to the growing demand for our innovative and intelligent solutions, we are looking for a System Architect, who can contribute to the development of our future systems.

As our new System Architect, you will be part of an existing group of System and Software Architects, which guide feature and platform development for Kamstrup advanced metering systems. In the team, we have a strong focus on collaboration, knowledge sharing and value creation, to achieve the best possible results. High professionalism and the ability to create and transform a vision and roadmap for Kamstrup systems into reality are key parameters for success. 

A job with focus on technical excellence and user-driven innovation
As a System Architect, you get a key role in developing Kamstrup’s advanced metering system strategy, which will support our customers in their journey towards digitalization of their operation.

You will work with the full design life cycle from idea to production, assess and apply new technologies and tools to implement a future proof system platform, and create new features in close collaboration with product management.

In the job, you will work with different frameworks, concepts and tools such as:

• Agile system development frameworks e.g. SAFe
• System modelling using UML and Archimate
• Architecture and requirements ”as code” e.g. Gherkin and PlantUML
• Documentation of enabler and feature stories in Jira

It would be an advantage if you are familiar with communication standards (TCP/IP, wireless technologies etc), webservice standards and design patterns, IT security standards and best practices, application development on a Microsoft platform, and with cloud technologies.

You must expect approximately 10 travel days a year in relation to customer visit, conference etc.

Personality matters
We are looking for an ambitious and competent System Architect with drive and a pioneering attitude. It is a requirement that you:

• Have a professional background in engineering, computer science or similar 
• Have minimum 2-3 years of experience as Software or System Architect
• Are passionate about working with system architecture
• Are able to work and collaborate in distributed development organization with multiple teams
• Are self-driven and it is natural for you to contribute with different suggestions for improvements and to be able to implement these in cooperation with others

As a person, you have a natural authority by virtue of your skills and experience, but you also know that good solutions are created in daily cooperation with your colleagues. You place high demands on yourself and others, and therefore do not compromise on the quality of your work.

The job requires fluency in written and spoken English.
