Technical specialist for the development of fans in R&D

SKOV wants to put extra focus on fans and therefore seeks a specialist with a passion for this field. You will be responsible for setting the technical course for our future fan portfolio.

We expect you to have profound knowledge of fans, including motors, fan blades, and controllers, so you can contribute to further development of our ventilation portfolio while also exploring any possibility of optimizing our current solutions.

Over the last few years, SKOV has successfully developed several axial fans, which have obtained considerable recognition within our industry. Among other things, we received the research award, Elforsk prisen, for our LPC fan, and our most recently developed BlueFan fan is considered a trendsetter globally.

Above all, you have a theoretical background, but you also need to have an interest in carrying out laboratory measurements in our new, outstanding test lab facility.
As our specialist in the field, you will also be responsible for ensuring full compliance with applicable regulatory requirements concerning fans. 

You must be able to work independently but you will be working closely with other specialists and our product manager in the SKOV Fan Factory. The SKOV Fan Factory is a newly established part of our organization because, looking forward, the fan product area is expected to become an even more significant part of our business. Also, you will be working with our subsuppliers, external specialists, and knowledge institutions/universities. 

To be successful in your job, we expect that you

• have at least five years’ experience in working with fans
• are a trained engineer or machinist, but the most important thing is that you have expert knowledge about fans
• have knowledge about airflow. If you have experience in CFD computations, it would be an asset
• have an analytical approach; you are structured and have an aptitude for multidisciplinary cooperation
• are fluent in spoken and written English.
