To make Vestas wind turbines most reliable we are bringing the field conditions into our test centers. The Test & Verification operates the biggest test facilities in wind. It covers more than 50 test rigs on 30,000sqm. It includes some of the biggest and most advanced test rigs in the wind business (e.g generator rigs up to 16MW, 80m full scaled blade rigs and gearbox rigs up to 20MW). Vestas Technology & Service Solutions, Industrialization, Test & Validation: You will be joining a department consisting of 28 skilled engineers and technicians. The team is responsible to plan and execute tests on gearboxes, converters and generators according to our verification procedures and standards. As a member of the testing team you need to take care that our test benches and equipment is performing, up to date and always ready for testing, ensuring that tests can be executed highly efficient on high quality level. Responsibilities: Your primary responsibilities will be to support and improve quality of measurement systems and data handling systems, including: Work close with the testing team and designers to ensure flawless execution of test and data analysis Be responsible for sensors and data collection systems Perform troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical issues in the measurement chain Be responsible for data analyzing systems and know how to use them efficient Support on installations of new tests Develop and plan measurement campaigns and procedures to ensure high quality in the whole chain Execute measurements and analysis according to planning and budget Summarize and document measurements to ensure high data quality Improve quality of measurements by standardization of procedures Qualifications: You hold a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar; in particular, experience in sensors, data collection systems, data analyzing systems and troubleshooting on measurement systems will be considered relevant to the position. Further, we expect you to have: Practical experience in building up measurement systems and data analyzing methods Experience in define sensor solutions Experience in establishing procedures for ensuring high quality Competencies: Experience in at least one typical data collections systems (e.g. Labview, IMC, etc.) Skills in different sensors types and their strengths and weaknesses Knowledge within HW for measurement systems EMC knowledge Experience in operating data analyzing tools (e.g. Diadem, Matlab, Famos, SQL, etc.) Knowledge within data handling (e.g. servers, data collection hardware) Experiences in creating reports, technical presentation and reviewing technical documents Capability to lead activities and projects Highly motivated, Self-driven, Open minded, Effective communicator Technical background, Customer focus Strong team player, Global mindset What we offer: A flexible and dynamic working environment with great deal of freedom in planning you own day.
