User Researcher, Digital Transformation, Bagsvaerd
We are a newly formed digitalization unit, reporting to our CEO, on a big transformational journey for Novozymes. As part of that journey - combining the virtues of biotechnology with digital - we are looking for a User Researcher.


Reporting to the Head of Product Management and Design, you will be part of a team of people designing and developing prototypes to test out new ideas with our colleagues and with our customers. You will be driving the User Research activities related to our Digital products. This will entail the engagement in the different phases from the ideation phase to the growth phase of the product. We are looking for someone that can help us create the best understanding of our users and can turn insights into valuable digital products that will delight our customers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Driving the user research activities in all phases of the product lifecyle
  • Mapping the User Journey and the key pains and gains of our customers with tools like Journey Maps, Persona catalogues
  • Conducting user interviews and product key insights that can help the prioritization of features
  • Discovering new insights and customer pains and jobs to be done with exploratory research techniques
  • Driving the user testing activities during the discovery and delivery phases
  • Helping ideation phases of our initiatives by conducting and participating to design workshops with customers and stakeholders
  • Working closely with our Product Owners in all phases of the product Lifecyle to design the product Interaction
  • Contributing to our collective understanding of User research by educating stakeholders in the digital product design processes


In this position, you need to:

  • Have a high level of literacy with regards to user research
  • Be curious about people and their behavior
  • Enjoy solving user problems and put the user at the center of the development phase
  • Be capable to discuss and explain the user research techniques to stakeholders and product managers
  • Drive and execute the user research activities to achieve the required business outcome
  • Have minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role working in a startup, a product design agency, or a large corporation
  • Master the process of rapid ideation, prototyping, and product design
  • Have a great understanding of Agile Practices and Design Thinking approaches
  • Be able to work in a cross-functional team
  • Have the relevant academic background
