Wind Energy Analyst to wind assessment and measurements

Do you have excellent analytical skills and would you like to be part of one of the leading energy companies in Europe contributing actively to solving the world’s climate challenges? Join us and be inspired by responsibility rather than by rules. We require a dedicated engineer or similar to intensify our efforts as soon as possible. You will join our department for Wind Assessment with nine employees and be part of a multi-cultural environment. The department is part of Wind Power which has 1600 employees and is one of four business units in DONG Energy. Wind Power is the world’s largest developer and operator of offshore wind power, and we use our unique knowledge in all phases of our wind turbine projects. During the last 20 years, we have developed and constructed the largest portfolio of offshore wind farms in Northern Europe. You may choose freely to be based either at our office in Skærbæk near Fredericia or in Gentofte in the Greater Copenhagen area. As we primarily focus on Northern Europe, you should expect some travelling in relation to your work. Your key duties will be to •assess wind resources for utility-scale wind farms •perform wind data analyses •prepare wind farm layouts •conduct uncertainty and loss analyses •contribute to specifying wind measurement campaigns •assess operational wind farm data Furthermore, you will contribute actively to the development of our knowledge base and participate in solving related development tasks and studies. Your qualifications and competences include that you •are a graduate in a scientific discipline or a junior level engineer •have excellent IT skills and are a competent user of MatLab or another high-level technical computing language •advantageously have knowledge of the industry standard software WAsP and WindPRO or similar •speak and write English fluently, enabling you to communicate efficiently with your stakeholders and present your results professionally to your colleagues •have excellent analytical skills and are able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a timely and effective manner, enabling you to prioritise your tasks.
