Vattenfall operates an increasing fleet of wind assets in five countries with highly ambitious targets to grow the portfolio. The Asset Management team in Business Unit Onshore takes the owner perspective of the Onshore portfolio and individual assets to ensure that BA Wind optimises the life time profitability of our Onshore Windfarms. This means long term value creation by developing knowledge and balancing  costs, risks and performance drivers  This applies to the existing fleet of approx. 600 windturbines, but also the integration of new assets (which are currently under development of construction) into the portfolio
 
Vattenfall is now looking for the right person to fill the position of an Asset Manager with focus on the development of new Onshore windfarms. The role reports to the Head of Asset Management Onshore.

Overall purpose of the role

You will be the central function of Asset Management and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Delivery towards the earlier stages of the  project to ensure that new assets are developed according to the Onshore Asset Management Strategy and O&M requirements. You will drive, and take part in, strategic discussions on how to best operate our future fleet and translate that to requirements for new projects. You will drive the development, jointly with relevant stakeholders, towards optimised OPEX assumptions to include in the business cases, which are essential for the continued growth of the Onshore portfolio.
  
Main tasks & responsibilities

  • Be the interface to the Market Development department, which is responsible for developing new wind farm projects
  • Be the main interface to the Technology and Project Delivery departments, which are responsible for designing and constructing the wind farms
  • Responsible for the general OPEX assumptions and for continuously developing these based on e.g. targets, benchmarks, performance of existing sites, O&M strategy and input from other internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure consistent O&M cost assumptions across projects
  • Responsible for translating the O&M and Asset Management strategy to new projects and provide this to the projects
  • Own the Employer’s requirements for Service Agreements, and jointly develop the contract standard with Procurement
  • Support Technology in developing Employer’s Requirements for the Turbine Supply Agreement
  • Capture lessons learned from existing projects and sites and ensure inclusion of these into the requirements for new projects.
  • Owner of the standard Asset Management Agreement used in partnering (joint-venture) projects and responsible for representing Asset Management in new partnering projects

Your profile

  • University degree with relevant 6-8 years of work experience within Asset Management, Commercial Management, Operations & Maintenance within the Wind Power industry. Exceptional communication, cooperation and organisational skills to be able to represent Asset Management and O&M Delivery in projects
  • Strong and motivated team member able to work with multi-disciplinary units (commercial, financial, technical) and drive many topics. in parallel
  • Strong in project management, and happy to take own initiatives and work with many stakeholders
  • Command of English is strong, both verbally and written.
  • Strong competences with Excel modelling
  • Strong credibility built through both business insight and leadership
