Alfa Laval Aalborg A/S – the world’s leading supplier of marine boilers – is looking for a business controller to support two of our business areas in Aalborg. In total the position covers a business volume around 400 mill. dkr. and 150 employees. The position reports to the Finance Manager with a dotted line to the heads of the two business areas. The main objectives of the job are to support the line of business managers within the Service segment and the Product Center (R&D and Product management) through analysis of operational performance of the business and to provide valid, accurate and timely reporting to other Stakeholders. Furthermore, the business controller must through his or hers understanding of the business be highly engaged in streamlining and development of the business processes and a thus be a central stakeholder in the process of connecting the IT platform to the core business. Responsibilities Ensure high quality in business processes and provide the business managers and segment management with analysis of operational performance Participate in monthly reporting to the Alfa Laval Group according to Financial Guidelines Process optimization and documentation Develop and maintain forecasting procedures Ensure development of IT platform to support the business Competences and profile We are looking for a person with a bachelor or master degree in accounting, finance or business, with profound working experience within controlling and a genuine business interest. Overview and insight are the key to success but the ability to work hands on is similar important. Candidates with long term experience in sales and project controlling as well as financial processes will be preferred. The right candidate possesses profound IT skills that vary from ERP insight to advanced Excel and business intelligence. You must be fluent in English, both spoken and written, and you must possess good social skills as you will interact with many different nationalities. You must have a high ambition level, be well-organized, self-driven and able to work independently towards targets. Furthermore you must be team oriented, with an ability to act as member of a management team; be flexible and willing to take on new challenges.
