We are looking for a vibrant, friendly and competent Cook that can join our Kitchen team. We are looking for someone who loves food, it’s presentation and takes pride in making the guest experience unforgettable.  Based in the countryside an hour’s drive from Copenhagen, Vesterlyng Café (http://www.vesterlyng-cafe.dk) is part of Vesterlyng Camping (http://www.vesterlyng-camping.dk), servicing both campers and guests from outside the camping.

Our opening times differ over the season, depending on holidays and weekends, and hence the level of activity varies throughout the year and requires a high degree of self-motivation, flexibility and creativity. We organize parties, events, sandwich-making as well as occasional brunches. You will be reporting and working closely with our Café Manager. The employment period will be from March 15 – October 20, 2015 with the possibility of extension.

The role

• Prepare the set menu and plan the season’s activity
• Smooth running of service at all times
• Responsible for quality and hygiene control.
• To complete all daily food checks and keep accurate records.
• To ensure that the kitchen is clean and hygienic at all times.
• To ensure that evening KP’s are working correctly in cleaning the eating area and kitchen.
• To provide excellent customer service.Comply with food hygiene, health and safety regulations.
• Deal with all food suppliers and place orders.
• To store all food correctly in the appropriate fridges and store room. 

You will be required to work averagely 40 hours per week, varying during the season.

Job requirements

Must have 3 year experience in a similar role, have a good understanding of either English/Russian and/or Danish. You will provide us with two independent references. Be organized and systematic. You must be eligible to work in Denmark if you are applying for this position.
