We are looking for a Release Manager to take our Release Management to the next level. You will manage and coordinate the continuous development and maturity of our middleware java platform which we named appropriately - “Ninja”. Our platform services Weblogic, Websphere, MicroServices and SOA, and during 2016 will extend its capabilities to cover Tomcat, OBIEE and probably more. The position we offer As Release Manager for Application Hosting Services, you will be responsible for getting production releases made to high quality in a timely fashion. You will achieve this by establishing, maintaining and successfully delivering a complex Release Plan of changes, based on dialogues and in co-operation with multiple Stakeholders. You will also ensure high quality by deployments through the Development, Test and PreProduction environments. You will be responsible for facilitating prioritisation and scheduling of platform releases, in conjunction with stakeholders, examples being Ninja Developers, Technical Solution Design team, Management and Architects. Breaking down the Release Plan into deployable chunks, you will co-ordinate the technical Go-live of the Release plan. Our goal has always been to deliver monthly releases that bring new functionality, more stability and greater user experience. You comply to and adapt to Nordea’s IT policies and standards and provide input on how to improve such processes based on practical experience. This role also needs technical knowledge to package our software components into SCCM packages, ready for deployment. The qualifications you need You have at least 5 years of experience in Project or People management in software development. You have strong knowledge of Release and Deployment processes. Your experience includes working across the full IT development lifecycle from requirements to deployment, over multiple platforms and operating systems. You appreciate diversity, and are known as an excellent communicator and facilitator. You are able to drive and resolve complex planning and prioritisation issues between different projects, and gain energy from solving challenges and improving ways of working in this area. Your work is well structured and you are known for your skill in finding and implementing creative and practical solutions. You enjoy working in a high-performing team, setting high standards and you have the ability and willingness to learn and grow together with the unit. You are capable of and enjoy acting as a sparring partner to management and your colleagues, contributing to both project and line activities. You have a relevant Bachelors/Master's degree and you are fluent in English. You are preferable already situated in one of the Nordic capital cities.
